Popularly referred to as “fashion’s biggest night out,” the Met Gala attracts more stylish A-listers than all your favorite award shows combined. This year’s theme “Gilded Glamour” was a homage to the past eras of glamour, a period when women in particular dressed in brilliantly corseted garments and voluminous drapes. Hosted by longtime Vogue Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour, this year’s co-chairs included Regina King, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, and Lin Manuel Miranda.
After months of speculation, rumors, and numerous outfit predictions, the looks we have been waiting for are finally here. We got to see a predominance of corsetry along with elaborate hair and makeup this time. From Bad Bunny to Sydney Sweeney, many of our favorite celebs attended their first Met Gala and they did so in style indeed. Closer to home, one of our favorite fashionistas, Natasha Poonawalla presented an Indian take on the theme with her gold Sabyasachi saree worn with Schiaparelli body jewelry. Here’s a list of 15+ head turning looks that stole the show and have the potential to inspire tons of Indian wedding trends
