Bong beauty Mouni Roy is now officially a married woman. Roy, who catapulted to fame, with acting projects such as Naagin, Kyunki Saans bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Tadap, Gold, and more, got hitched to the Dubai-based businessman Suraj Nambiar, in an intimate ceremony held today. Hailing from the laidback town of Cooch Behar, in West Bengal, Mouni was in news for quite some time for her much-anticipated wedding.
Well, she has now put a full stop to all those anticipations by taking saat pheras with a guy living seven seas away from India. Roy is a trained dancer cum singer cum actor, who made her television debut in 2007 with Ekta Kapoor’s Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi. Her portrayal of KrishnaTulsi in Kyunki Saans Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi made her a recognizable face in every Indian household. One hit show led to another, and soon Mouni became one of the A-list actors of the television industry. Roy is also one of the few actors to have successfully carved a niche and name for herself across the different mediums – be it television shows, music videos, or Bollywood films.
Born in the Garden City of Bangalore, Suraj Nambiar is an investment banker cum businessman by profession (Aren’t both of them multi-hyphenates in terms of talent? ). An avid reader and traveler, Nambiar is at present based out of Dubai. Suraj is also an animal lover and strongly passionate about animal rights.
Mouni first met her future husband, Suraj Nambiar, in the exotic locales of Dubai. The duo hit it off instantly, making appearances together subsequently in numerous events and parties. Roy, in fact, welcomed 2021 with Sooraj’s family, giving out a message that they were quite serious about each other.
The duo kicked off their wedding festivities, yesterday, in Goa. Mouni initially wanted to get married in Dubai, but later changed her plans owing to the pandemic-induced restrictions. The couple had asked their guests to carry proof of their vaccination in order to attend their Goa wedding. The couple, later in the evening, got married again as per the Bengali rituals and customs. Roy, for her Bengali wedding, wore a red Sabyasachi saree, which she accessorized with jewelry by Anmol Jewelers.
For her haldi, Mouni wore a peppy yellow outfit by the designer Payal Singhal. The bride though, for her wedding, chose to wear a white Sabyasachi saree, which made her look like an angel that had just descended from the heavenly skies above. See the beautiful images below.

The couple’s guest list included an intimate set of people comprising family, Roy’s close friends from childhood, and industry. Mouni also invited her peers such as Arjun Bijlani and Mandira Bedi to be a part of her wedding celebrations. Actress and yoga enthusiast Aashka Goradia was also spotted during the wedding celebrations.

On the professional front, Roy will soon be seen in the much-awaited Magnum opus Brahamashtra that also stars lovebirds Alia Bhatt- Ranbir Kapoor in the lead role. Apart from that, Roy will be also be playing an important part in the 2023 film Moguls.
